Lynx : going well axioma, how about you?
BillMcneal : that you can't undo at all because asking a simple question to linux nerds will give you no simple answer
jdawg78 : I used to use linux all the time and getting new surprises with the updates.
BillMcneal : oh boy, yes
Macuahuitl : ‹@Lynx› It's going pretty good too, thanks.
jdawg78 : Like -Oh, my wifi stopped working when the mouse was plugged in.-
jdawg78 : Or sound stops if the DVD drive was open when booting.
BillMcneal : it's your fault for opening the dvd drive when booting
BillMcneal : "don't do anything out of the ordinary" is the motto
jdawg78 : I had to open it...the second time...
jdawg78 : But not the first time...
BillMcneal : that really happened?
jdawg78 : the second time it has to be open, the first its closed...but if you get the order wrong then the colors will invert.
jdawg78 : I might be exagerating a little bit.
jdawg78 : But the fact that you are unsure says alot about linux. LOL
Lynx : do you think it is the most secure operative system?
jdawg78 : Yes and know.
jdawg78 : It might be more secure from viruses...but it's not safe from the user.
jdawg78 : Like -oops, I typed in the wrong command and now I deleted my partition.-
BillMcneal : agreed, technically it's backdoor-free, but then again, you gotta be the biggest nerd in the world to be 100% sure of that
BillMcneal : sudo rm -rf
jdawg78 : It's like Windows just hides all the files that will break your computer if you delete them.
jdawg78 : Linux is like -These files keep stuff running, don't delete them...but if you want to, here's the button to do it.-
Lynx : Linux is my cousin
BillMcneal : i have no freaking idea where linux is, there are 30 different bin/ folders
jdawg78 : Actually there's a browser in Linux called Lynx.
jdawg78 : It's text based.
BillMcneal : there is? a ver
Lynx : I had no idea
jdawg78 : Or is that Links?
jdawg78 : Lynx might be the email.
BillMcneal : nope, it's right
Lynx : I do know there's a shampoo named Lynx
BillMcneal : great, now i'll have to download this and feck everything up
CaptainJack : and sausages named lynx too :)
BillMcneal : As of January 2019, it is the oldest web browser still in general use and active development, having started in 1992.
BillMcneal : congratulations, lynx!
Lynx : hiya Captain
jdawg78 : Download Gnome, but install all the KDE software for it.
BillMcneal : i knew you could do it
BillMcneal : hi jacko
CaptainJack : Hola Lynx
CaptainJack : Hi bill , hope all are well
Macuahuitl : I g2g bbl
BillMcneal : i don't think i've ever used kde, do you like it?
jdawg78 : Nah,
BillMcneal : it took me a while to adapt to gnome but i'm used to it now
jdawg78 : I was more into ubuntu and maybe gnome.
BillMcneal : why not?
jdawg78 : I used ubuntu the longest so I was just used to it.
jdawg78 : Then I switched to gnome because ubuntu went wonky on me.
jdawg78 : Ubuntu had that smart menu, you just type the program and it finds it. So it was quicker for me.
CaptainJack : What Happened to Real Betis Lynx, 1-2 ? :(
BillMcneal : ubuntu uses gnome, you mean that piece of trash unity desktop? they removed it, mashallah
jdawg78 : That's what I meant...
jdawg78 : Unity worked fine for me until about 15.04 I think.
Lynx : ‹@CaptainJack› we lost the game although the referee was a moron
Lynx : did you see it?
CaptainJack : ‹@Lynx› No, I didn't , was it a good game ?
BillMcneal : ahh sorry, yes, it's the unity desktop, i hated it too, crashed for ridiculous reasons, but it's gone now
Lynx : ‹@CaptainJack› it was good, very competitive
sonvzvezdnuyunoc : C Jack!
sonvzvezdnuyunoc : Lynx!
sonvzvezdnuyunoc : jd!

jdawg78 : The window is tiny.
BillMcneal : there's a fullscreen mode but i can't remember now
Lynx : www.youtube.com/watch
jdawg78 : I used to be able to do full screen and all that.
jdawg78 : Yeah that works...sort of...but it just scales it up...so it's not that good.
BillMcneal : By default, the Host Key is the "Ctrl" key on the right side of the keyboard. Press the "Host Key" and "F" simultaneously to enter full-screen mode.
Lynx : hey sonvzy!
sonvzvezdnuyunoc : how are you, Lynx?
jdawg78 : LOL It's full screen but it's the same size. Just a square in the middle of hte full screen.
