PauLa : pero hubo que levantar todo el piso y las paredes
PauLa : too much money
BillMcneal : sorry to hear, 2004 is not old enough for a building to need fixing
BillMcneal : they build at ridiculous prices nowadays and the finished product is awful, a friend of mine has had this problem too
BillMcneal : the ceiling is too low, it looks like a cave haha
PauLa : cuánto mide tu amigo?
BillMcneal : average, normally ceilings are 3 meters tall, his is about 2 and a half, maybe less
BillMcneal : the door is shorter too
BillMcneal : it's more of a chinese house haha
BillMcneal : didn't it happen there too? when they started buying chinese buses here they found out they were smaller
BillMcneal : because people are smaller on average there
PauLa : I remember I ate dust for months, and I guess it must be into my books too jaja
BillMcneal : ew haha
PauLa : oh yes Lynx, it is real, you eat dust
Lynx : don't buy a Chinese car, you won't get in there
Lynx : Chinese proverb
Lynx : of course I am real, Paula ... I'm not a ghost
PauLa : I was scared
BillMcneal : lots of protein in dust (?)

BillMcneal : i own mine
PauLa : I´m trying to send a picture of all my books to my computer to show you
PauLa : It is mine
Lynx : is it more common that one buys their own home than renting?
BillMcneal : upload it on imgur.com
PauLa : a ver
BillMcneal : absolutely no one buys houses in baires, too expensive, you can buy an apartment, still expensive
BillMcneal : when i die this house will totally be sold for building an apartment building, i'm pretty sure
BillMcneal : there lynx?
Lynx : fifty fifty
Lynx : I was more usual buying a home before the crisis
BillMcneal : it's not crisis related though, where do you live exactly? big city?
Lynx : banks were quite generous
BillMcneal : big cities have been moving away from people owning houses, i don't think it's cost effective for them
Lynx : offering mortages
Lynx : I am not living in a big city
BillMcneal : ah ok
Lynx : anyway, renting is becoming costly too
BillMcneal : if you want to build your own house here you have to do it way outside the city, like over 15 km away
Lynx : and you don't own anything at the end of the day
BillMcneal : yes, but you can always move further away
Lynx : so is it worth it?
BillMcneal : good question
BillMcneal : this is a centralized area, people who live 15 km away work here, but i suppose the prices would be much higher out there if they worked around there
BillMcneal : there has to be some advantage to it
BillMcneal : maybe low taxes
